ROB / RUB

Composite steel girders for road over bridges

We fabricate and erect composite steel girders for ROBs and RUBs to Indian Railways specifications. Steel girders let a bridge go up with far less disruption to road and rail traffic than conventional methods.

Fabricated in the workshop, not at the track side
No temporary staging or speed restriction on the running line
Lighter, so launching is easier, faster and safer
Girders can be dismantled and reused at the end of their service

Welding & connections

Processes matched to each member

SAW: Submerged-arc welding for main girders of Foot Over Bridges and Road Over Bridges.
CO₂ / MIG: Used for members other than main girder welds.
Metal arc: Used for industrial sheds and cover-over-platform structures.
HSFG bolts: Grade 10.9 high-strength friction-grip bolts for girder splices, as per RDSO specifications.
